After a long time, I am again going to write on something very special, the project close to my heart. On 26th January 2021, I got my offer letter for being the ambassador of SHAUKAT KHANUM MEMORIAL CANCER HOSPITAL for the year 2021. I always wanted to work for humanity and SKMCH gives me the platform where I can showcase my talent, as well as I, can serve humanity too.
Today, 13 July 2021, I am writing this blog and dedicating this to SKMCH.
SHAUKAT KHANUM MEMORIAL CANCER HOSPITAL AND RESEARCH CENTRE are state-of-the-art cancer centers located in Lahore and Peshawar, Pakistan. SKMCH&RC, Lahore was the first project of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust, which is a charitable organization established under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 of Pakistan.
The inspiration to build this hospital is Mrs. Shaukat Khanum, mother of our Prime minister Mr. IMRAN KHAN. Being a developing country, where many do not have access to even elementary health care facilities, cancer was considered the ultimate symbol of hopelessness and almost certain death. Hence, the enduring love of a son for his mother and of the passion of the nation, Prime minister Imran Khan, therefore, decided to embark upon his dream of making cancer care hospital.
